Helicopter pilot, Michael Fournier, was out dropping water on a Fresno hill fire. However, his craft crashed, and he, the only person in the helicopter, did not survive the incident. The crash is still being investigated (there is currently no information regarding the crash). He is survived by his wife, Leanne Fournier, and two daughters. He will be deeply missed, as the couple was ready for their 25th anniversary in November. There has been precession for him today at 7am, which CAL FIRE lead until their arrival at Fournier’s hometown in Southern California (LA). May all of our heroic Californian fire forces be remembered and respected for keeping California safer.
